Greens' declaration of war against Merkel's government gets set-back by referendum on Stuttgart 21

Counter-attack. People in Baden-Wuettemberg have favored the business-friendly German Rail's decision to build an underground through station instead of keeping a surface terminal central station.

The people of Baden-Wuerttemberg have rejected a business-hostile notion of eco-green and left-wing activists on the halt to the German Rail project of Stuttgart 21 in a state-wide referendum by wide margin.

Last weekend the Green Party 'big brains', Trittin, Roth and Kuenast, declared war on Merkel's policy at a federal party conference at the state capital of Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel.

"We wanna get rid of her failed policy and chancellorship" could have been their slogan to oust Merkel II cabinet of CDU/CSU and FDP. But this wishful thinking will be in the distant future of some 21-22 months to come, regular end of term for the current 1st female chancellor, destined to get her full eight years in office. Her political future is in doubt, of course, but it's far from certain that the German citizens who have their genuine voting rights will be swallowing the green poison pills, having been announced by the Eco's big mouths.

They wanna raise income taxes for the rich(?) to some 49 pc instead of the current rate of 42 pc, beginning with some 80.000 euros for single earners, thereby targeting a big portion of the median income range.

Next, they wanna raise revenue by a (time-limited???) asset-tax. 1.5 pc on assets value. Wow, any house-builder or owner would really 'love to pay' 3.000 euros ($4.200) annually for a property asset, valued at 200.000 euros.

Who do they target? The middle - it's always the same. Pretending to squeeze the highest incomes, you will be starting with struggling families who should save for their pension age and get squeezed by additional burden of some 250 euros a month to the annuities they have to pay down their property for the future and kids of theirs.

Federal Eco-Greens are now showing their real face of being extreme left-wing socialists who don't want a socially based market-economy but a state regulated socialist scheme. Didn't they learn from the failures of the Soviet Empire or the near bankrupt state of GDR prior to reunification.

Let's hope that the SocialDems are savvy enough to reject this silly trumpets' roar.

SPD's elite politicians in Mecklenburg-W Pomerania and in City State of Berlin joined forces with the Conservatives to form SPD-led coalition governments after two state elections instead of making trouble to Merkel in a crisis when trust, reliability and reasonability are needed.

Peer Steinbrueck, former finance minister in grand-coalition's Merkel I cabinet and most likely front-runner of the SPD to challenge Merkel is not as dumb as some Eco-Greens might think that he will join forces with 'green' at all costs.

People in Baden-Wuerttemberg, already pissed off by the 'splendid performance' of the wind generator blowers when having doldrums, have shown clearly that the 'Kiel declaration' to change the government might likely end in a disastrous defeat.

I keep my fingers crossed toward their defeat in less than 2 years.
