After a nice refurbishing of the old pub in the upper deck of Pier 17, the friendly personnel at the new facility serves you neat Irish beers.

I tested the bright pale, golden lager of Harp's.

The description of theirs is: "slightly bitter up-front, smooth aftertaste, fruity nose."

I agree. This lager gives you a bitter-sweet introduction of hops and malted barley. The (after-)taste is really smooth, somewhat like the old Guinness Stout.

Harp Lager is a classic Irish Pale Lager that has some association with Guinness in the Canadian and US markets, but have been intentionally separated as marketing entities globally by its parent company, Diaego. It's list of ingredients are hard to find, but it is a classic Pilsener type lager with usual hop selection for the style for a total of 5.0% Alcohol by Volume , 23.5 IBUs and 152 calories .
